Why Sentiero?

Health is never a straight line.

It's a path that zigzags, climbs and descends. Like the best mountain trails, it can lead you to wonderful things.

That idea is where Sentiero Chiropratica comes from. We all have an innate capacity to grow, evolve and heal. The human body is extraordinary: your health is precious and fragile, and you can care for your own body better than anyone else.

Chiropractic doesn't stop at treating symptoms: it aims at the root cause of dysfunction. We identify and correct interference (subluxations) in the spine and nervous system, restoring communication between brain and body.

We can, and must, cultivate our health every day. We're here to walk alongside you.

Frequently asked questions

Answers to the questions we hear most.

What is chiropractic?

An approach to health based on the body's innate capacity to heal and self-regulate. Chiropractors identify and correct interference (subluxations) in the spine and nervous system that can disrupt communication between brain and body.

Rather than simply treating symptoms, chiropractic addresses the root cause of the dysfunction.

What is a subluxation?

A dysfunction of the spine that interferes with optimal communication between brain and body, compromising the natural capacity to heal and self-regulate. Over time it can show up as discomfort, fatigue or pain, but these are effects, not the real cause.

I'm not in pain: can chiropractic still help me?

Being free of pain is wonderful, but it doesn't mean the body is working at its best. Regular visits keep the spine aligned and the nervous system free of interference: a proactive approach that can prevent future problems rather than waiting for them to appear.

Is pain a good thing or a bad thing?

Pain is the body's natural alarm system. Silencing it without addressing the cause is like taking the battery out of the smoke detector without putting out the fire. Instead of fearing it, we learn to listen to it: often it isn't an enemy but a guide pointing to where attention is needed.

How often should I see a chiropractor?

It depends on you: age, lifestyle, previous injuries and current state of health. Over time we recommend regular check-ups to identify subluxations and correct them when needed: a proactive approach that supports long-term balance.

What does a chiropractor study?

In Europe the path involves at least five full-time academic years: anatomy, physiology, embryology, biomechanics and above all neurology, alongside clinical placements. In Italy the profession is represented by the Italian Chiropractors' Association (AIC).

Does chiropractic help athletes?

Yes: it improves recovery, coordination and balance, and helps prevent injuries. Athletes such as Jannik Sinner, Michael Jordan, Usain Bolt and Marcell Jacobs include chiropractic in their performance routine.

What are the benefits?

People following a chiropractic path often report greater comfort, deeper sleep, more energy, better posture, balance and mobility, sharper focus and a more positive mood.
